Hi guys, having the worse day today and feel like I could cry, had the worst hypo ever yesterday then because I over reacted my bloods went all the way to 30 in night.. I’m so upset, tired and groggy today. Honestly I don’t feel like I can live like this. There’s people in the world who have so much worse and are so positive and last night took the wind, energy, positivity out of me.I’m
just laid on sofa feeling extremely tired and worn out..
ketones are fine, bloods are back on track, how long am I going to feel this drained I’ve been doing so well with no hypos and then it happened, I could barely lift my head,
I was responsive and could eat and drink, which I clearly did too much of.
I just need to vent I feel alone right now even though I know I’m not.
Sorry for the miserable post x

So sorry to hear you had such a bad day.

Not a T1 of any sort but do you have a plan agreed with your team, to help avoid overshooting when hypo?

No I haven’t, not being seeing people who actually want to help lately, I saw a couple Of nice nurses and they were helpful, learning new things each time. then when I’ve been back past couple of times I get someone who would rather I just get out of the room.
Booked on a DAFNE course in October so looking forward to learning how to react and cope better.

A general rule of thumb is to have 15-20g of fast-acting carbs to bring you back up and test again after 15-20 minutes although it's easier said than done when you do drop really low and I'm sure we can all agree we have gone overboard with treating our hypos. Hypos where I then shoot back up generally leave me drained for the rest of the day so I'd say just take it a bit easier today and don't be so hard on yourself. Diabetes is not easy.

Thank you, definitely need to try and stay calm, it really is easier said than done, the panic takes a hold so bad I wish it wouldn’t.
