My blood sugar drops from 100 to about 70 within 1hr every time I eat. It makes me sleepy, but I don't have any other symptoms. What causes it?
I am constantly dehydrated although I drink quite a bit of water and I now take electrolytes daily, but still... I wonder if this is the problem. But what causes that and what should I be testing for?
It is similar to reactive hypoglycaemia: This occurs when your body releases too much insulin in response to a meal, causing your blood sugar to drop rapidly. Eating foods with a low glycaemic index can help stabilise your blood sugar levels. Check out this article: webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/reactive-hypoglycemia.
