I love watching a good horror film, what's yours ?

I love a good horror but not so much the gory ones. I think a movie like Blair Witch Project was quite scary without really showing anything nasty. Similar with Psycho ( Hitchcock ). Talking of Hitchcock, I remember watching The Birds as a youngster and being very scared. Mind you, Doctor Who used to frighten me too lol
 
Is Silence of the Lambs considered horror? I don't watch horror usually but that film was great.
 
Even though I hate clowns it has to be Stephen Kings IT.
 
Remember being about 5 or 6 sneaking out if bed and positioning myself behind the sofa, it was a Sunday, mum was doing a pile of ironing and dad was watching TV, the film on ITV was the old I think 1934 version of Phantom of the Opera, I had nightmares for weeks after.
Alfred Hitchcock was the master of film making, I love all of his films, Rear Window is a favourite
 
Any party political broadcast featuring Margaret Thatcher

Blood/gore/slasher films don't really do it for me, but I enjoy anything with some suspense in it. One of my favourites is a sixties film called "Wait until dark", starring Audrey Hepburn as a blind woman being terrorised in her flat by a violent druggie. The tension is wound up to fever pitch and, when I was watching it, some wag in the cinema screamed during one of the most nerve-wracking moments - and made the entire audience jump out of their seats

Great film.
 

I remember seeing that film on TV, it was very tense and she played a fantastic part
 
I do not find horror films entertaining. Made of steel I am. Nothing much scares me and tend to laugh at them ....

I am am avid lover of Hitchcock films and 10 Rillington Place is a brilliant film with the wonderful Richard Attenborough, thumbs up Shar

Alien & Aliens were full of great suspense and definitely had me gripped, so 10/10 for those two.

You are all my heroes. How can you sit and get scared for pleasure.
The last horror film I saw must have been about 40 ish years ago - Don't Look Now and it scared me so much that I can't to this day see anyone with a hood on without breaking into a sweat.
 

Yes I remember that film with Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie, scary and strange Great choice
 
Friday the 13th films with Jason are little bit jumpy at times.
Watched a so called horror film last week called "Rubber". What an absolutely c#*p film. About a car tyre that was pocessed and used telekinesis powers to kill people that 'annoyed' it by blowing their heads off. This tyre also watched TV, slept in a bed, showered and swam in a pool. If you want a laugh then watch this!
