Hi,
I have the ordinary BGstar and it has one battery for the meter and one for the display. If that is similar, then perhaps you just need to change the battery.

Thanks for the reply.
The IBGStar is too small to hold a battery. It comes with a charger. I charged it up last night incase that was the issue. It didn't light up like it normally does when initially plugged in to the charger either; but appears to be working otherwise when attached to the phone.
I haven't seen this problem with mine, although I don't use it so much these days. Hopefully Sanofi can sort you out, otherwise iBGStar meters are currently only £12 in Boots
Thank you both for the replies. Meter is now only occasionally connecting with the phone when I hook them up, occasionally nothing at all and once a message saying the iphone doesn't support this kind of device!
Thankfully came home to find an email to say they are sending me a replacement and it should be here in 3-5 days.
Have Sanofi asked for the old meter back (by their prepaid envelope) in order to investigate? They did with mine and concluded onboard battery failure.
