If you like a glass or two of wine:

Especially red, this from: http://annals.org/article.aspx?arti...al&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer

"Conclusion: This long-term RCT suggests that initiating moderate wine intake, especially red wine, among well-controlled diabetics as part of a healthy diet is apparently safe and modestly decreases cardiometabolic risk. The genetic interactions suggest that ethanol plays an important role in glucose metabolism, and red wine's effects also involve nonalcoholic constituents".

My apologies if this has been referenced elsewhere.

It might have been quoted before, but always good to be reassured again that a glass of two of red wine is medicinal!

Delighted to again read this reassurance, my DBN recommended swapping to drinking G&T but it didn't convince me and a glass of red does go so well with a meal. A bottle of Chateau Neuf du Pape is always a pleasure at Christmas!
