Hi. Since I’ve been on leflunomide, trade Name Arava, for my autoimmune arthritis my insulin dose has halved. I googled this and a Chinese study on mice published in March this year offered an explanation but there hasn’t been a human study yet. I wondered if anyone else had experienced increased insulin sensitivity on this medication, as it is a relatively common drug. Cheers. Leeanne
According to wikipaedia, the other trrade names used for this drug are Arava, Arabloc, Lunava, Repso and Elafra. Hopefully, that might widen things out for responses @Leeannea

Yes that’s it! Thanks! But I don’t have T2D like the mice. I was hoping that someone else was on this medication and had also experienced this beneficial side effect. My Rheumatologist and endocrinologist were unaware of this effect. Maybe I’m just weird. Oh well, nice to have something good happen anyway. Cheers
