Inject and test

I'm T2 on metformin sr 2 x 1000mg daily and insuman comb 25, 50 units twice a day.
I inject 30 minutes before breakfast and dinner
The hospital want me to test twice a day before eating
Should I test BG levels before I inject , or before I eat.
 
Test before meals and I test 2 hours post meals too. If I am unwell or BGs are high I test more often. Hope this helps.
