I have only been using insulin for 6 months, humulin once a day, but have found that my tummy has become very sensitive to this. Started using thigh too, but has anyone else suffered with this, and what can I do? Thanks
What do you mean about your tummy being sensitive to the insulin?
Does the insulin sting as it goes in?
Are you worried about the needle?
Or do you mean you have digestive problems?
Your tummy will get sore if you use the same place all the time, that can also lead to lumps and poor insulin absorption , it’s always best to rotate the sites you use , try one side of belly one day other side another day ! Leg the next and so on and so on , I’ve been doing it for over 40 years no lumps or soreness ,
I am not worried about the needle and do rotate where I put it. I find that often it takes a few tries to push the needle and insulin in where it doesn't hurt!!
