Hi all, new to this so bear with me!
I just wanted some advice on my injections, I inject 4 times a day, sometimes 5 and every time I seem to inject recently it starts bleeding. I later on then get a bruise or a little lump where I previously injected! I use 5mm needles, I've also tried 4mm before and they didn't seem to work either!
Hope you can help, thank you

Have you tried using your arms for the bolus as the skin isn't so tender as the tummy?

No I haven't considered it, where abouts on the arm? The top and around the back?

I always injected in arm where end of a short sleeve t shirt was or at the top back part. Insulin worked ok so I
avoided my tummy unless bg was very high. Try tomorrow and see how you get on as you shouldn't mark

If you use a basal, do that in backside if you can so that its absorbtion is a bit slower

Just means your hitting the small capillary blood vessels that lay close the the skin, the bruising is a result of some blood loss. Just make sure to use a new needle every-time to minimise any discomfort from injecting.

On MDI I would use my arms and stomach for my bolus dose and my bum and legs for my basal.
