I freely admit I am guilty of sticking to just using my legs. I can't stand injecting in my abdomen and no needle is going near my bum!
Question I have is, how do you inject in your arms when you're on your own? It's been that long since I used my arms but now my legs are starting to bruise and develop little lumps so I need to give them a break.
If anyone can explain the best way to inject in arms, that would be great. I don't have anyone to help me at home. It's just me and my 4 year old daughter.
It saves having to reach round at an awkward angle, like everything it takes practice to get it right, but you should try and rotate your injection sites to avoid problems further down the road.
I use different parts of my arm, and sometimes I walk my fingers up the pen ( but I have being doing it for decades) then push down. The bum area is absolutely fine, honestly, I have always used this for for my night time Insulin and I find it the easiest area. Once you start to inject in a different place, it's often not as bad as you think. It's the unknown that's the scariest. Good luck
