Had my first hypo in ages a short while ago. Serves me right really, I'd been thinking how well things have been going recently..
It reminded me just how powerful "The Urge to Eat" is. I had some glucose tablets & will test again shortly, but it was a real battle to stop myself, when instinct was telling me to eat, eat eat!
I majorly slipped up yesterday evening by going food shopping after working late... 8 crumpets with marmite... shows when your sugars are low you def have to snack on something small before properly eating so the body has time to adjust before insulin and dinner. It wasnt until i truthfully admitted to myfitnesspal about the 8 crumpets that the reality of what I'd done hit me. I rarely eat starches unless they're brightly coloured fruit or veg and crumpets are a definate nono! :0/
