Hey people.

So, i am now on a fast acting insulin, called Fias; and also was offered Pioglitazone 15mg,
the nurse told me that the insulin wasn't working since i had a bump on my belly/
i am now taking long and fast acting....I am just really hoping to bring my level down so i am glad
that the nurse saw me; i was heading into see a skin specialist in the same hospital and i was definitely planning
to raise my concerns for the support aspect but the nurse saw me and gave me some advice on why my sugars.
aren't coming down and that its due to insulin resistence, also will plan to have another C-peptide test in 6 months
because it can change over time, which i believe is the case. out of pocket i have purchased dexcom one. just to see for 10 days how my levels are. also, my DN has access to the readings - / i will stop sitaglipin to go on the Pioglitazone, let me know if you guys have any experience with that oral medicine and this insulin.. after taking my dose i did come down to 13 from my morning 15.3, slowly my fasting levels are coming down and my post-meal reading hopefully will be better at the 1-2 hour mark.
I understand with the Fiasp it is all about finding the right dose, i have started on 9 units so, if my fasting level is 15 then i will increase if its between 5-7 i don't have to increase, of course that would be great to have a fasting of 5-7 but its a work in progress. I only eat twice so, will only need to inject for 2 meals so thats only 18units of fast acting and 30 units of the long acting insulin..... anway, i don't know what else to say now... peace out.
