Recently i asked a hotel I was staying in to store my insulin in the Fridge. It was put in the freezer! I dumped it to be on the safe side. Was I right and what are the temperature limits for Novomix? Pls advise.

I would not use insulin that had been frozen.
However, it can be kept at room temperature for 30 days so, unless I was staying for a long time, I would not bother putting my insulin in the fridge. I would just keep it out of direct sunlight and away form any radiators.
I would not give my insulin to anyone one else to keep and I would also be nervous keeping it in a hotel room fridge as they are rarely well maintained and could be too cold.
When travelling to hot countries, I use Frio wallets to keep my insulin in. As I often camp, I don't have access to a hotel or fridge and never had any problems.

insulin cannot be heated or frozen, because it reduces its effectiveness, it is believed that the storage temperature of insulin is from +2C to +8С, and an unfavorable temperature is usually called above +30C or below 0C, but if you ask about the experience of this, then where I am sometimes there are frosts -30C and I sometimes carry insulin just in a bag or pocket (although I was taught to carry it in the inner pocket of a jacket closer to the body or in mittens), but I can give an injection after my insulin has been in such a cold. To be honest, I didn't notice any differences in efficiency, but maybe I was just lucky.

Correct temps are 2c to 8c. Definitely useless if frozen! It continues to work if stored above 8c but this reduces shelf life.

Many thanks Ellie most helpful and reassuring. Rgds Rod

If it's near freezing or less which happens most days where I live, I carry my insulin in a bag I hang around my neck and lies over my chest. I put the insulin there and wear it under my winter coat and under the top of my winter overalls.
