insulin dependant type 2 and flu

I have type 2 and I'm managed with metformin gliclazide and insulin, I have a very bad case of flu, how will this affect my sugars ?
 
I'm a type 1 and when I last had flu my bg levels went crazy, how are your bg levels at the moment @kirstysnow ?
 
Hello Kirsty , everyone is different my blood sugars are all over the place at the moment. Drink plenty of water and check your readings regularly . Look up sick day rules for type 2's on insulin. I hope this helps

My levels aren't under control yet or rather still ! Mornings I'm still between 10 and 14 get too 8 around lunch but bedtimes are still 16 ish
