Insulin not working

Have you spoke to your DN or Doctor about this ?
Of course the covid will have had some effect on things.

OK see how it is after a few days if still high then speak to your Dr or Diabetic Nurse

Have you checked ketones according to your sickday guidance? careful of potential crash, stacking... might be wise setting alarm a little higher than normal due to several correctional doses in relatively quick sucession. 45min to hour before fiasp can reach its peak be careful for next 3-5 hours whilst iob.

Have you tried changing the cartridge or doing a refill if you’re using a pump? Fiasp is notoriously flaky, it can decline early or react badly to extra heat.
I’ve very recently had to change a cartridge when mine seemed to have stopped working. It fixed the problem.

Fiasp is 'a bit duff' at high BGs - I tend to need a lot more than normal for it to start working. I found Lyumjev about the same, novorapid needed more but not as much as Fiasp (which is slightly odd as its the same stuff with bits added).

Main thing is you got it down in a controlled manner - it can be a challenge when BGs go high, just one of the joys of T1

Last year i had an injection in my shoulder and it caused havoc for me.
I had 10 units to cover my evening meal and i ended up in the 20s (this is virtually unheard of for me) so i took 5 more units and went for a yomp. That would fix it.......it didn't so i took a taking a further 15 units totalling 30.
I was at a loss and the evening was getting on and city were on.

I have a stick with handles at each end that i use for physio.
I did not want to take anymore novorapid as it was 8 pm and having 30 units sloshing around my system which is 3 times my normal amount.
I put the football on and used the stick like oars and got about rowing watching city.....i had to leave the curtains open as they were in the way of the oars so goodness knows what anyone walking passed would have made of me is anyones guess.

I went to bed in the teens and woke up in the 8s.
Exercise with insulin works well for me normally but it just shows what can happen but at least i knew it was the injection.

I survived and just added it to my 50 years of experience.
