Hi
I went to see my diabetic nurse today she said I will have to go on insulin,My question is what is usually given a syringe or a pen I forgot to ask the nurse this today my appointment is not for 3 weeks because of my holiday arrangements the nurse said they need to make a follow up call to see how you are progressing
Is it a syringe or a pen
thanks

In Europe, less than 5% of people taking insulin use syringes. However insulin syringes are still available I used them when my insulin pen broke a few months ago before I got a new one. In my opinion insulin pens are better than syringes but if you would rather use syringes then you can speak to your nurse about this.

Hi I use a pen, but over 20 years ago I used syringes. The pens are much more modern and they look just like, well, pens  and easy to use and it comes in its own case.
