Insulin side effects?

Non-insulin injectable medication (incretin mimetics)
Started insulin on Friday. I'm type 2 and can't stomach oral meds with my ibs and gastric reflux.
I'm on novamix 30, started 6 units twice a day, now upto 8u and looking at 10u Friday.
I've noticed that the hair on my arms has grown longer. I'm not particularly hairy but since Friday I seem to be growing more hair. Anyone else had anything like this? Tried googling it but there isn't much about it apart from one thing on insulin resistance but didn't give much away.
obviously it's not a deal breaker, I won't stop treatment because of it, curious if anyone else has had random side effects.
 
Peculiar, not heard anyone mention that before Lee.
 
Prolonged exposure to high sugar levels can impede normal hair growth and cause hair follicles to die or go dormant. Now you are on insulin your blood sugars are probably lower allowing the hairs to grow normally.

Not heard of this one with an insulin leeemerrick
Try reading your product packet leaflet to check this one out ?

Only know of some certain eyedrops that can cause
eyelashes to grow much darker and longer .
Mine do with my ocular pressure reducing eyedrops .
It is mentioned on the product packet leaflet .
No need for me to ever require false eyelashes !
 
Nothing about it in the product leaflet. Perhaps it is just my bgs returning to normal.
I feel so weird with lower blood sugar. I've been used to it being mid teens all the time it felt normal!
Thanks everybody for the suggestions anyway.
 
Hi, I had an injury in August and complications set in, and I too have hair growth,and one place I will mention is, fine baby like hair on the affected hand. If I put my face on that hand the hairs tickle me so much, but no change on the right side. Being female I never wanted to mention this, but it has happened
weird but I don't know if diabetes is connected, don't think so ?

Strange it's on the one hand? Is it patchy or just all over the back of it?

I had a bad injury to the wrist and complications set in to wrist and hand, it wasn't there before, lots of complex symptoms involved, with the hair growth. I can gently pull it with my mouth, it's very fine hair.

Another one (don't know if side effect, something else or in my mind, last day or two ive been really sweaty around meal times (blood sugars have been good). Today starting to get what feels like spasms and pain in my bowel and spasms in my left leg. BGS have been between 6.5 - 8.5 pre meal, 8.5ish 2 hours post meal. Also gone very sensitive to cold, nor something that has ever bothered me before. I don't feel ill, just very odd
