An intelligent question
@cdpm and its unfortunate you didn't ask your prescriber, but we don't always think of the right questions during the all too brief conversations which sometimes take place with doctors.
The pancreas produces more insulin than normal in response to insulin resistance. We know most, if not all Type 2s, already have ample insulin circulating. Notwithstanding this, some medics believe that stimulating the production of additional insulin will help to overcome resistance.
May I ask which medication has been added?
