Insulin storage

Hi, I posted this in another bit but think I need to put in here for T1s' input.

My fridge is running a bit cold. Mainly 2C but when I open it in the morning, it's at 1C. I can't turn it any lower.

Both Novarapid and Levmir say to store between 2C to 8C
Will there be a detrimental effect on the insulin being kept at this temperature?

It shouldn't however if you suddenly start to get oddball blood test readings then you know the culprit.
Generally speaking fridges are colder at the bottom.
Have you defrosted it recently?
Are these temperature readings from the built in fridge stat or from an independent one?

My general understanding of insulin storage is to keep it in the fridge until needed then it can be kept at room temperature for up to 4 weeks.
Hell, who wants to inject themselves with cold insulin?
If you are in the UK like me its been like living in a fridge since November!

I've got an icebox at the top of mine so I reckon it's going to be colder there.
