I am thinking of moving to the USA for a football scholarship for 3 years, how do I get insurance to do this? I was told there is a long stay travel insurance policy, how do I go about this?

I'm not sure of the answer but I'll bump your post up the forum in the hope that you get some replies, if you don't get a response try contacting Diabetes UK as they may be able to point you in the right direction. Good luck.

There are a number of Insurance company's offering Expat Insurance in the States (or there were when I lived there between 1997 and 2003). It is usually a lot cheaper than US Insurance.

Google Expat Health Insurance US and see what you get.

If you are on a scholarship with a US Uni it is also likely you will be able to get lower cost Insurance through them, as they offer packages to their Students.
