Interesting reading.

A couple of months after diagnosis my FBG went up from 4.8 to mid 5. Then later on it went down to low 4. On the same high fat diet. Confusing, isn't it?
 
My bedtime, fasting and pre-meal levels started to creep upwards. I have reduced my carbs a little more (down from 60g to 50g) and increased my fats even more to compensate for the loss of calories as I need to gain weight, not lose it. Within a week my fasting and before meal levels have gone back down to normal again. Very confusing
 
Once again it's down to how much is consumed. Getting the right balance.
But yep it's confusing.
Balance is the key, same with most things.
