I'm on Mounjaro for Type 2. I get really bad side effects from it sometimes so as I was going on holiday, I've come off it for a couple of weeks.
I'm very itchy down there, this happened before when I came off it. I'm going back on it middle of next week.

So my question is, will anything get rid of it before then. Currently using thrush cream but that only takes it away for a bit.

Have you spoken to a pharmacist? They will know if there’s something better than thrush cream, is it thrush you have? Have you had a diagnosis of thrush? I’m not familiar with the side effects of Mounjaro but if it’s not thrush then maybe the cream is irritating it more than helping it?

No, I haven't spoken to a pharmacist. I was diagnosed with it before & was just cream I was given. As soon as I go back on Mounjaro, it disappears.

That would make sense if it’s thrush which can be caused by high sugar levels in urine. Maybe those levels are lower on Mounjaro.

I agree chat to a pharmacist. They might recommend pessaries (if you are female) rather than just cream.

Cab you speak with your DN about this, you may be able to use something else other than mounjaro to keep you sugar levels lower
as above thrush thrives on sugar

.I want to go back on Mounjaro, although I have stomach problems when on it, it's doing what it's supposed to do, plus, sounds weird but I like how I don't drink much when on it. I don't mean alcohol, I mean soft drinks. I'm always drinking & peeing all day when I'm not on it.
I was on Metformin a few years ago, made me feel ill. Then Alogliptin, after that Ozempic. Going to stick with Mounjaro for now.

OK had bad times with Metformin myself (begged to come off it) use insulins now with great results
yes thrush can affect men as well as women
