As you are only just into the prediabetic range (I saw on your other post your HBa1c was 42) fairly minor changes are likely to make a difference.
Increasing exercise is good, reducing carbs should also help. To help with reducing weight loss make sure you have replaced the calories lost by reducing carbs with other food. Just some extra fats should be enough. It’s your choice of course but adding olive oil, or cream/butter to meals. Also make sure you are eating plenty of protein which will help you feel full.
