hello my name is James Sathiaraj. Live in Guildford, UK. I am 62 with type 2 diabetes since the age of 50. Profile shows that I have had diabetes only for 1 year but it should be 12.

I take tablets and play squash/badminton to control the sugar level. Since last Friday, after playing in warm conditions, my sugar level has gone down below 4 three times. This morning around 4:00 am, I was swetting. Went down, took the measurement and it was 3.4. Ate some cakes/busicuits and a fruit drink and went back to bed and I was ok.

If anyone had any advise for me, please post. I am hoping to visit my GP for further advise after the bank holiday.

Thanks

James

Hi James and welcome to the forum
I don't know much about hypos since I don't get any but I think it would help you if you ate something carby before your exercise and during your exercise too if your levels are going down too low. There are a lot of members who have experience on this who will answer you soon.

To change your profile to correct the number of years you have had diabetes, click on User Control Panel, then Profile, and you can change what you like in there including the years since diagnosis.
