With all of the pneumonia, bronchitis, etc you said to have, had it will take a while before you get rid of the symptoms of whatever you have roaming around inside your body.
Hi,
You can go on the symptoms, usually flu puts you in bed and lasts longer than a cold.
You may get a raised temperature, might get the shivers.
Aches joints etc,
If your worried and have a cough etc see your GP.
Hope you feel better very soon.
Take care
If you had real flu you would know about it! You would have been bedridden for days with back pain and you wouldn’t care about anything. I was always told if you have flu and there is a £20 note in the floor you wouldn’t bother to pick it up!
However a really bad cold can still make you feel rotten and if you didn’t achieve quality sleep then you could still feel tired. Hope you feel better soon.
Theoretically,it would be possible to tell by sending a blood sample to a specialist lab to test for antibodies. In practice, there is no point unless done as part of monitoring by the government or other body such as WHO. When monitoring does occur, it is found that most cases of 'flu' are not actually due to the influenza virus but to other viruses such as rhinoviruses, adenoviruses and parainfluenza virus. For this reason, the medical diagnosis of ILI (influenza-like illness) may be used. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Influenza-like_illness https://www.who.int/influenza/surveillance_monitoring/ili_sari_surveillance_case_definition/en/
