Hi, my immediate reaction would be "yes" for my BG. Anything over 10g I would have to bolus for. So it depends on how much a cup of pomegranite weighs.
I always bolus for pomegranate. And it’s worth it. Do you have a means of finding out the carb content of food? I use an app called Carbs and Cals but there are others - everyone seems to have a favourite app.
Do you also have a ratio of units of insulin per grams of carb so you can calculate how much to inject?
There has been a product recall of Pomegranate here, as there have been seven people diagnosed with Hepatitis A, after eating frozen pomegranate purchased at Coles supermarkets
@SHmano is there a particular reason why you have asked about pomegranate?
Having type 1 diabetes, I am not aware of any foods you should or should not eat as long as you take the carb content into consideration when calculating your insulin dose.
There may be other medical conditions which make pomegranate difficult to digest but I am not aware of any.
