As someone whose periods stopped early one Monday morning (in an operating theatre, deliberately on the first day of Wimbledon), I can't give you any advice on the menaopause. Even though I kept my ovaries, I was one of life's lucky devils who had zero menopausal symptoms whatsoever, but subsequent blood tests evidence I have completed it.
When you say your periods have stopped (suddenly), how long is it since your last period, and do you still "feel" like there's a cycle going on, but jsut without the usual outward evidence?
As I am sure you know, any unexpected changes should be mentioned to your GP.
