Anonymous Question Is my flatulence to do with diabetes?

Hi are you taking metformin? this is also known as metfartin for obvious reasons, I'm not saying this is the reason but its one possible answer

isn't flatulence just the funniest word in the dictionary? or am i childish *shrug*
 
I had eggy burps from hell on metformin-they were straight from 'Humpty Dumptys' Ar*e but luckily most people tolerate Metformin very well and it's considered quite a safe drug...I guess a handful of us are just unlucky.
 
I really don't think diabetes is a cause of flatulence but medications and other health conditions can be a factor, of course some foods that we eat will cause a build up of gas so eliminating foods one at a time to see if this helps with the problem might be a good idea if things don't improve.

On Steve Wrights Factoids the other week they were saying the average person has around 20 bottom burps a day.
 
Any type of food that contains a lot of fibre can for some cause flatulence but also eating too much of xtarchy carb like biscuits, chocolate, bread etc can also be the culprit. Also, flatulence can be a thing that comes and goes on its own accord so no one is really any the wiser for knowing whats caused it in the first place.

Christine, I think you need to make an appointment with an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist. Ain't no thing as a man that don't fart. ;-)
 
i never heard my missus trump or my eldest daughter, me and my youngest are like a brass band, but she also takes metfartin


the first time i met the wifes family we were sitting in the garden listening to the birds sing having a very civilised quiet chat when there dog jumps up at me whilst i was perched on this little wall, well the shock of it made me let the loudest fart i ever did out, what was worse was no one laughed, or even acknowledged it but youd have had to have been stone deaf not to hear it, it was awful lol
