Do not take it!I’m type 1 for 15 years and only ever used Novarapid and Levemir, picked my prescription up today and they gave me novomix 30 instead of Novarapid. Am I correct in thinking That they aren’t interchangeable and a mistake has been made. By time I opened it when I got home chemist was shut. I don’t want to start taking it if it is different from Novarapid. advice please.
No one has spoken to me about changing.
Yes luckily I do. Is it definitely a mistake then? Pharmacist has issued wrong insulin pens?Do not take it!
Novomix is a mix of long and short acting insulin, and you can not use it as you would your Novorapid!
Do you still have enough insulin to get you through until tomorrow?
Yes, a mistake, and not a small one.Yes luckily I do. Is it definitely a mistake then? Pharmacist has issued wrong insulin pens?
I agree, mistakes are inevitable everywhere!Thought so. Mistakes happen. Good job it happened to me and not a new diabetic. Thanks
First time this has happened in 15 years , but yes I have to bring it to their attention don’t I.I agree, mistakes are inevitable everywhere!
However please make sure your pharmacist is aware they made a rather dangerous mistake which could have landed you in hospital. Not to blame them or make them feel guilty, but as a reminder to be as careful as can be in their job

Thanks. That’s strange as well because there’s no repeat script in the bag.like normal either.Hi @Adamskidiabetic ,
Sounds like a mix up win your script. I agree with Antje. It does not have the same actiion as Novorapid.
If you still have a supply of your "usual," stick with that. If you have a repeat script in the bag with what you picked up? That should help them understand thier error.
They should exchange what they dispensed with what you should have..
Best wishes.
