Yes i partly switched to Libre 3 as well, although still hard to get them where I live..
- smaller sensor makes FS3 less annoying to wear. I even wear it on my arm again, while with FS 2 i switched to legs regularly as it was just annoying on my arm, running it off, getting stuck on doors etc..
- continues readings, so you could just quickly check your phone to see your bg or place your phone in front of you and see where your bg is going, without any scanning.
- sometimes the Libre can invite to overregulation, but it was already the case with FS2 as well; for example yesterday a high alarm Was shown. I decided to take a bit of insulin. But within 5 minutes my bg had already lowered again (so i shouldnt have taken additional insulin).
- a bit dissapointing was for me that it is not really easy to get your continuous readings on a smartwatch. Technically it should really be a piece of cake to send readings to a smartwatch over bluetooth, but i dont think fs3 officially supports any smart watch. There are some workarounds, but then you still need your phone as well. It woukd be better if Smartwatches would be supported as stand alone devices.
- alarms are switched off by default when you install the fs3 app, so be sure to switch on both, high and low alarms. Unfortunately still no repeated alarms in case your bg remains high for a longer period.
- abbott doesnt produce readers anymore for fs3, only the app.
- so the fs3 is a good upgrade but still up for improvements.
