been nearly a year now since being told i had T2 still not on medication and had a good test result but not in the numbers you all seem to post level was 31 think i need to convert this to the old style testing. will be going for another test next month to see if i have maintained this or lost the will to be good on my diet. well i know the last 3 months have for some reason become hard not ever knowing what your sugar levels are and what foods are doing what to you drives me made (have now got a machine just need to buy more strips) put that in brackets as Nurse was not happy that i had done any tests but felt how do i really know that what i am doing is right. and have so many questions about how i feel at times and is it the start of a cold or is it because i have eaten something that has set levels high oh well hoping that the next six months will start to settle me down again want to keep off the tablets for as long as i can

Sorry for the ramblings feel a bit better now i have written it all down hope this was ok just having a want to cry day and no one seems to understand why i feel like this some days but not others

again thanks for letting me be part of this group

Hi Debbie

Re the number you mention (31) and that being 'a good test result but not in the numbers you all seem to post'

Think I'm right in saying that is 4.9% according to the converter on here. If that's right it's an amazing result. Even more so if youve not been testing as well. Double check your numbers as I may be wrong. Others will correct me if I am

Having a meter is critical to you managing your own condition. Like you say how can you know where you are up to.

Well done you!
Mary

thank you Mary have found the converter now and what you said looks right DN said i would not get that reading again but who know maybe they have misdiagnosed me and it was all a dream

Debbie, sod the so called diabetic nurse, shes just been given a title. You pay her wages, we all pay her wages. Test away and until the db nurse gets diabetes she won't understand. My sister and my daughter are nurses, erm correction they are the be all and end all of the NHS, dontjaknow. So as you may guess you can eat porridge cos its slow release pmsl is that all I can live on PORRIDGE.
Just test eat test then you will know what you can eat and then gloat when the nurse says ooo you are obviously following the rules baaa baaa.
