Its Just a thumb ...

OK folks, I need your non medical advice here ... I have a split appeared in the skin on top of my thumb .. it hurts like crazy .. goes across the thumb print at close to the nail down towards the pad of my thumb .. and I did show similar a few years back to my Dr and was told its just a thumb .. get a hobby .. so not going there again. I have tried a snowflake thing .. looked like a stick of wax .. it did not work and gave the wife a migraine .. The wife has lots of advice but as usual I don't listen .. so whats you witchcraft or home remedies for stopping the pain and healing the split do you have.
Please hurry ... it hurts
 
Take a painkiller, make sure the wound is clean and superglue it.
 
pain killers not working and I have just superglued my other hand to my jumper .. that will miff the wife off big time
 
Make sure it is clean, generously squidge aloe vera gel onto it (preferably straight from an organic plant, none of that pasteurised pap that comes in tubes). Cover it with a plaster, and check on it after 24 hrs.

Repeat til healed.

You may be surprised how quickly the healing happens.
 
will try that next, thank Brunneria... still got my hand and jumper in a bowl of water .. apparently water will unglue superglue !!!!
