The sun is shining, I'm waiting for my new washing machine to arrive, which is a matter of urgency since I am running out of pants.

BUT - I'm off on holiday at the end of the month. I'm off to Dartmoor for the walking.

Where are you going?

Where would you go if you could?

I'm going to Wales on Saturday with my Mum, Sister, Niece and Nephew. Lots of fun laughs and days on the beach (positive thoughts about the weather please)!
If I could go anywhere I'd go to a deserted beach and chill out for 2 weeks.

I am off to Whitby on Friday for a week, in July I am off over to Austria, have more holidays planned for later on ))

Ross-on-Wye for a week in October, Switzerland for a week over Christmas.
Dream destination would have to be the Galapagos Islands or Tahiti.

Ah to be going away to Tenerife or Malia again. Half my mates moved to London, the other half are too skint this year (or married!). :x

im going to fort-mahon in france in two weeks time i can not wait just hope it's dry this year last year had two weeks of heavy rain on the west coast of france

Heading to Antibes in August for little ones birthday, taking him to the Killer Whale show which is fab!

Also going away at Christmas as I don't want to celebrate it this year, so somewhere hot will do just fine, any recommendations??

Hi Kareeta,
Anywhere hot at Christmas has to be southern hemisphere. New Zealand or Aus are the obvious ones, but my favourite would be the Cook Islands. I went there 2 years ago - the most laid back place on earth!!

Have a brother lives in Teneriffe so got a week in Sept but still working on where to go Jan / Feb , Cook islands sounds nice dennis where ?

Hi Dave,
Cook Islands - south Pacific, almost exactly halfway between New Zealand and South America. Fabulous place - we went there in 2006.

Thanks Dennis

Looks great, but I'm a bit of a weak (for want of a better word) traveller. So the shorter the airtime the better really! I was looking at Tenerife, anyone know the average temps in Dec?

Thanks Dennis but having done OZ n NZ 2006 and discovering the joys of Long - Distance flights i may have to give it a miss. To me anything over about 4.5hr is not in anyway pleasant. It isnt the flying but the being in an expensive cattle truck.

Kareeta
its shorts n teeshirts anytime in Teneriffe.

Kareeta,

I believe that Malta is very nice in winter, and it's short hop.

Lots of expats out there, don't know how you feel about that: but there's lots of history.

My soul is already on  Mam Tor............

Thanks, hadn't thought of Malta - don't mind ex-pats at all

I'm off to Brockenhurst in August in the New Forest, it's going to be wonderful.
I used to camp there every year with my dad, til I was ten. Going hotel-ing with my girlfriend this time.

This makes me think I should feel old. Bet my dad does =D

Oh, and I was planning to go to the Tomatina festival but all the flights are sold out. Next year maybe! Has anyone ever been? What's it like if you have?

It's Viva Las Vegas for us again this year followed by touring round Arizona - v hot! Roll on September. 8)
