I've Built Myself An Artificial Pancreas!

I've thought a bit about how this might be achieved by linking a pump to CGM. Having spent 30 years in the programming business in various roles my first reaction to problems like that is 'can I write an app for it?' Of course a pump and CGM are a prerequisite, neither of which I have!

You mention Open Source - is there some code I can read?

My concern is how you error-check; do you include a reasonableness check? Given that a software error could literally be fatal, how do you ensure safety?

@snowleopard - there's what I'd consider to be an advanced set of capabilities that are out in the wild and being run by hundreds of people. If you want an overview check www.diabettech.com/looping-a-guide for info. There are links from there to the various things that you can do and the places to start getting code.
