I am 4 months into this new T2 lifestyle. Goodness knows I've given up plenty. So here I am in London, I went for Lunch, I saw Ed's Diner. Well it's fair to say I fell off the wagon. It doesn't really matter that I had the Sweet Potato fries (only ate half) instead of the regular fries. And what different does it make that I had Diet Coke instead of a Chocolate Malted Milkshake. Every mouthful of my meal was sinful and delicious, a taste sensation. So wrong but oh so good. But I can feel Guilt already knocking on my door....

I did something similar myself yesterday by eating a large bread bun. Despite it being wholemeal and seeded, it raised my BS to a very unacceptable level that lasted above 3 hours. I didn't feel guilty because I did it on purpose as an experiment and was carefully monitored by my Libre sensor, but I learnt from doing it that despite excellent normal levels I cannot cope with ordinary bread and probably never will be able to.

Glad you enjoyed your treat, but please do be careful it doesn't become a habit.

Bet you appreciated it at the time, because it was a treat, and I read you were going to the knitting and sewing craft show, I went a couple of years ago, you do a fair bit of walking, so you would have burned up some carbs doing that.
So no guilt needed

It's not cheating if you are experimenting with a FreesStyle Libre. I do that as well occasionally when I can afford a sensor. I should post some of my results somewhere on the forum.

Ed's Diner does sweet potato fries!!! That's good to know. I know Henry's does them too. and you only ate half. I never knew you could apply fractions to fries I thought they only ever came in whole numbers - even herds but never fractions.Wagons are there to fall from every now and then. Don't see it as guilt but as a mini self induced test on how quickly you can get back on it.

Wise words indeed and as Mr Han said to Dre "Your focus needs more focus" (Karate Kid remake)
