If you have ever wondered about the longest anyone has survived on insulin, then the story of Janet Rae is worth a read.

Janet started on insulin aged 2, 80 years ago, and this newsletter (from Diabetes UK in Scotland) tells her story. The article says she is most definitely the longest surviving insulin user in Scotland, UK, and Europe, but maybe also in the world. And her life on insulin began before the NHS !
