You probably have thrush as it's a quite well known side effect of your medication.

The best way to counteract it would be to change your diet so you don't need it any more.

However it would be worth discussing with your medical team as it sounds like it doesn't agree with you.

I’d recommend discussing with your diabetes nurse or gp as it’s a common side effect of the med, you are weeing out sugar and urine is usually sugar free! So yeast grows...it can go further and become uti, kidneys etc so best to let them know it’s happening a lot so can dip your urine and record it, plus give you the right treatment. You don’t want to be suffering, best of luck getting some help and treatment.
