Hey guys ,

I was diagnosed as type 1 just over 4 months . BS are under control so far but recently when driving home from work my legs get very jumpy/restless and I have to get out and walk . My BS are fine at the time so I'm not sure why it is happening .
Any advice would be great .

Thanks,
Mike Frank .

Hello. I think you need to ask your Doctor.

I used to get this but it stopped a long time ago. I don't know what causes it I'm afraid. In my mind I associated with too much sugar in my muscles (that's just a feeling I had, not science). It's possibly something to do with being newly diagnosed and starting on insulin? I think I did regular exercise, running, and that sorted it out. It is a weird and uncomfortable feeling.

Maybe others have more information.

It could also be co-incidental that you were recently diagnosed with diabetes and now have restless legs, if it's causing you concern then have a chat with your gp or diabetes consultant.

Hey guys ,

Thanks one and all for the advice, I have an appointment next week with my doc so I'll see what he has to say, lots of dancing in the meantime I think
