i went to the go yesterday to get a smear test but I was refused. Apparently you can only have it three years and if you do manage to get one say in the second year since you last had it once it gets to the lab its destroyed because you didn't wait till three. Is it me or is that odd?

Who told you that they are destroyed because you were early with your test? If you had the test it is very unlikely it would get destroyed by the lab?

The programme is every 3 - 5 years dependant on age.
If a second one was ordered by your G.P. because of his suspicions that something was not right then I cannot see why it would be destroyed.
