Keto

I've been eating lowcarb/keto style for getting on six years now and find it an ideal way to manage my glucose levels (and weight). I consider it a way of eating rather than what's commonly termed a "diet", and basically all I ever needed to do was to change the way I ate - e.g. by cutting out all high carb food and increasing my fat consumption a little to compensate, and this worked very nicely for me.

Keto flu is generally a short term reaction by your body when it's deprived of its supply of addictive carbs, but not everyone will go through this stage, particularly if they reduce carbs gradually rather than going cold turkey. I never had any problems, and choosing to eat this way has been the best thing I ever did health-wise.
