Ketone meter.best and cheapest strips?

Can anyone recommend a good meter for ketone measuring please
 
I have two meters that read bg and ketone levels Clive, one is the GlucoMen LX Plus and the other is Freestyle Optium Neo, not sure about the cost of the ketone strips (I'm a type 1 and get them on prescription) but a search on Google will reveal all.
 
I use the Freestyle Optium Neo and get ketone blood strips from eBay for around 10 for £10 - not cheap but half the price that chemists charge.
 
Alternatively you could look at the Ketonix which is a breathalyser type ketone measurement gadget - several forum members have used one. It's a bit pricey to buy but it's a one off cost as once you've got it that's it - there's no consumables involved so you can use it as many times as needs be for no further outlay. But relative costs would depend on how frequently you may want to test.

I use the Freestyle Optimum. I don't have to pay for the testing strips as I get them free on prescription with the rest of my medication. I highly recommend it as I've never had any problems with mine.

Robert - do the ketone strips work in the onboard Libre meter?
 
I only use the Optium Neo because i don't want my doctors to see my ketone levels on the Libre reader

Sorry to be a pain. I have never finger prick tested for ketones before (always just the wee dip sticks), but fancy seeing where I am. I'm quite clearly in no danger of DKA (thankfully!), so it's an information only situation. But, to my point: Exactly which strips do you buy for ketones, in the Libre meter?

(I'm normally a SD COdefree gal, unless I'm calibrating a sensor......)
