Ketone meter??

Hello, so got my blood ketone meter and tested my ketones and it kept flashing LO Blood is 7.6 though is that anything to worry about??

What did the manual say for LO
You are looking for a 0.6 or less reading

No. Lo is below 0.3.

You can get urine ketostrips that are read by the colour and also blood ketostrips that go into some meters

'LO' is, as engineer88 says, 0.3 or better.... so no worries there.

If your ketones are between 0.6-1.5 and BG is over 16.7 you should be aware that a problem could be developing.
You should seek medical attention if ketones are over 1.5 and BG over 16.7 as there is a risk of developing DKA.

Did you get glucomen lx plus thing? Big, ugly, grey one. It also does BG.
As they said, LO means zero, anything from LO to 0.3 is fine anything above 1.5 is straight to ae.

I asked if its a glucomen, because I have it and it always flashes the ketones result, doesn't matter if its good or bad I guess that can be confusing for new users!

I'm well aware of what to do when it is high haha had it 3 times before lol! Just not used to it being 0 lol!! All is good haha and yes Glucomen LX I think it was because it was flashing and making the noise haha

If your ketone meter is showing low and your bg level is 7.6 then you have nothing to worry about, if it's the meter is the Glucomen LX Plus it just means your levels are outside the range that the meter can read which is below 0.1mmol, on the opposite end of the scale if your ketone levels were above 8.0mmol then the meter would flash Hi.

Getting a Lo reading is good btw
