I know but it is on the rise and I have had DKA twice before when I was youngerThose levels are normal. 0.6 and below is a normal ketone level.
I don't feel very well and have had an upset stomach today so I,am guessing that this is causing the ketone level to be where it is
Gosh, that sounds like a useful tip!My nurse told me a little trick to stop ketones for when you're sick and not eating, hold some fizzy lucazade in your mouth for then spit it out. It's just enough to stop the starvation ketones as some lucazade gets absorbed through the gums because of the bubbles in it. Since this advice, when I've had the sickness bug I've not had any ketones.
