kidney

A guy in our dialysis unit just had a transplant and he’s in his mid to late 70s , I don’t think it’s age it if you well / fit enough h to go through the op , I know I had to have various tests and scans including a heart stress check before I could go on transplant list .

as far as kidney transplants is their an age limit

Hi @henry2024 I entirely agree with @Ushthetaff . I notice that you are the same age as I was (although only 4 days before my 55th birthday) when I had a kidney pancreas transplant. In the same ward was a 72 year-old man who had 6 organs transplanted at the same time. Because I was on the waiting list for 2 years I received 2 heart stress tests. I noticed during my stay that the kidney transplant patients recovered quickest and went home sooner. All the very best.
