Hi @Spiritof There are several reasons why it is not possible to answer your question. Firstly are you asking whether a diabetic has experienced bubbles in their urine or has experienced proteins in urine? I had proteins in urine from 1973-2013, but was never aware of bubbles unless I had been drinking beer! Obviously you have been tested and it appears that nothing serious has been found (thank God), but did you tell them at the clinic that you had worries about being diabetic? I would doubt they would send you away if they thought this was likely. Small levels of protein are not usually a problem, but from my experience over 40 years the problem increased due to the length of time I had been Type 1. By 1973 I had already had it 14 years from babyhood, which, considering the primitive treatment at the time, was very likely to be the outcome, especially as I was poorly controlled. A kidney/pancreas transplant put a stop to all this in August 2013. I'm not convinced that bubbles indicate protein, and I would suggest that if you are not experiencing frequent urination, unquenchable thirst, nausea and extreme tiredness, I wouldn't worry about diabetes. I hope all turns out well for you.I had posted on here with worries that I could be diabetic.
My results came back and I was low in vitamin D and folic acid.
I noticed the last few days I have bubbles in my urine, this from what I read is protein in the urine which I had a low amount a few weeks ago when I was tested.
Has anyone experienced this with diabetes?
Thank you

I apparently went from a very healthy 11 month old to a near bag of bones in a few days with Type 1 !!Hi Grant,
Thank you for the reply. I do have alot of urine the last week but I have changed my diet to a keto diet so I am not sure if this could be it. I shall go to the doctors tomorrow again.
But is it possible in a month to go from non diabetic to diabetic?

Hi. Certainly The Lighter Life Diet relies on the user drinking at least 2L of water every day and eating nothing but a preparation which causes ketones which break down body fat for energy, thus making the user slim rapidly. A type 1 diabetic could not safely use this diet. One of the things about it is the broken down fat, including ketones, is excreted in the urine. Hence the need to drink water and the resulting thirst/dry mouth. I would guess that the doctor has checked your blood glucose levels and hence says you're fine. I hope so!Hi Grant, I came back from the doctor, my urine showed ketones in urine but I am on a keto diet the last few days. I wouldnt say I am thirsty but my mouth is dry. Doctor said it was fine. I am so confused.
