Lancets

Hi,
Only after a few weeks my fingers are beginning to get a bit sore, so I have tried taking a sample from my forearm.
But, even when I have the lancet device on 7 ( I use an iBGStar) it barely makes a scratch.
I have a shed load of lancets and do not re use.
Could anyone point (!) me in the right direction for a more efficient lancet device, or a more powerful one that uses these lancets?

I am not a lancet expert nor a medical person but I do test often. I am beginning to wonder if the finger tip is the only place to test also. Today I used the lancet on the fleshy bit below the first joint of the finger and that seems to work just as well. As time goes on I may try the fleshy bit below the second joint of the finger.

Revolutionary or what?

Do you press the lancing device firmly against the skin before triggering it?

The only lancets with varying "power" that I know of are Unistiklink)
Warning: Normal are quite painful and I need a plaster to stop the bleeding.

I do, yep.
The lancet applicator does not appear to have the oomph to pierce the skin on my arm.
I switched to the shroud usually used for finger tests and I ended up with enough claret to do a test.
Thanks for the info, I'm now looking for a decent applicator, as the lancets themselves are quite good.
