Can anyone recommend a lancing device that works with TRUEplus lancets? Quality seems to have taken a nose-dive over the last few years. Everything that I've used recently lasts for a few months only before braking.

Have you tried Accu-Chek Fastclix?

It's a great lancing device and each drum contains 6 lancets.

I tried these many years ago. I was caught-out a couple of times with no spare drums. You can always re-use a lancet, but with the drums it was impossible to use one again. Anyway, my GP at the time (when I was living in Crawley) made me choose an alternative, as he said the drums were too expensive.

I have been using ACCU-CHEK muliticlix lancets for several years now,and are far more convenient than single prick lancets. I find these far better than any other lancets.You can adjust the depth of the needle for different thickness of skin.
 

I have the newer fastclix version and I can re-use lancets if I run out. They still hold six but you manually change them to the next one yourself.
 
Ive only this week been diagnosed and need to check blood sugar. After being told to put my used lancets in the household rubbish, I wondered what other people do with them. Im sure this can not be right.

This may seem like a novel idea..but you could keep a wine cork and use it as a pin cushion.All joking aside.
 
I prefer the drum system in my Multiclix device, each individual lancet lasts a while before I dial in new one. I do find that the older the lancet I have to set it to a higher number to pierce the skin though.

They are easy to dispose of as they are a sealed unit, so no worries about needle sticks. I get rid of the old drums at my doctors surgery procedure area. The nurses put them into a Sharps container.

Standard (Generic) lancets need to go in a sharps box, even is the cap has been put on.

Multiclix and fastclix never have the needle exposed and can be thrown in the trash as stated on the box.

Thank you for your reply. I have Gluco Rx lancets. I will keep them safe until I see my GP this week and ask for a sharps box
