Hi, one week in newly diagnosed T1 and just wondering ... I have been taking Lantus at around 10pm every day and just wondered if I can take it an hour early as I’m knackered and want to go to bed! Thanks

I take mine at 7pm every night for that very reason!

I was advised I could take my Lantus 24 hours +/- 2 hours.
I used this approach to move my injection times to something reasonable when I travelled through multiple time zones.

its not a big deal if its either way. mine used to only last 12 hours i needed a boost at night.

I was on Lantus for years and eventually I was advised to take it in the morning as I was getting low blood sugar during sleep.
I am now on degludec which suites me better.
I’ve had type 1 for 60 years now, my specialist said I could have a medal for 60 I don’t see the point as I didn’t bother with the 50 one.
I have seen a lot of changes in treatment. Life is so much better now.
