every time I inject it really smarts and the injection site is sore for a few days, does anyone else have this problem with Lantus.

yer i have same prob keep but i keep moving site i inject 3 times day for last 15years try top inside leg i do now for few weeks then move ok good luck
 
... Not as such with Lantus.

But if it's cold from the fridge it may smart.
Try a slower steady action when pushing the plunger button as opposed to bangin' it in..?
