Go on, what do you keep in your fridge for the late night munchies?

I seem to be hungrier before bed than I used to be - and if I don't have something, I'll wake at about 3 and not get back to sleep.

Right now I can see a bagel that looks as if it's on death row, but it's not ideal, is it? :?

Leave the bagel on death row!!!Step away from it now, nothing to eat there!!
Cheese/nuts/ham/anything like that in the fridge?

Have you taken a BG reading when you wake up? If you're going low, it might be time to discuss reducing your meds with your doctor - this is what was happening to me earlier this year.

Regards, Tubs.

Cheese? That's bad for you, isn't it? Anyway, no unless you count lo-fat Philli (other brands, etc) - I thought I'd done well cutting down on that drastically.. Almonds, walnuts - right out of waldorfs, though - Ham, yes. Dried apricots and dates? No, I thought not..

T: Cheers. Quack's only going to give me a meter in a fortnight, when I've had time to assimilate the guff the nurse gave me yesterday (see rants passim). Being an impatient patient I got one from Boots on Sunday and so far 5.8 (midday), 7.5, 6.8. Not sure what to do with that info yet, if anything. Probably nothing for the time being.

I think I'll just keep gently tweaking the diet towards low fat, low carb and see what happens.

Cheese, ham, nuts. Ok. But's it's begging for a bagel

If you are low carbing there is no need to go low fat as well, unless ,like me ,you can't tolerate fat.

Fat eaten with lots of carbs is bad,fat eaten with very low carbs is OK.It is late but there are threads that explain it much better than me!!

Rings a bell. Read it here tonight... Denis and the American Wheat Growers, perhaps?

TVM. sleep tight
